EIBTM 2006: November 28 – 29 - 30
Report by Maarten Vanneste
When we arrive, Mary Power is at the stand and we set up CIC’s plasma. She is very pleased with our sponsoring.

Our one neighbour is Brähler ICS (potential member); their Spanish representative Alicia Collantes, who was present at the Learning Lab in Davos, was setting up as well. |

Across the Isle I see ACS from Amsterdam (potential member) an AV company we know well. Cees Drinkenburg is there and he borrows some tape and a knife. Later he helps me with hanging the two plasmas.
The total set up time was from 15:30 until 20:00.
The EIBTM Bus from the Airport to the Fira took about 10 minutes. The IBIS Cornellia hotel is between the airport and the Fira. This is not very convenient since most of the events, receptions etc are in the city and the city is on the other side of the EIBTM Fira.

The stand The MSI stand is positioned against the wall which is very poor. It is ‘sort of’ part of the Technology area and has the same furniture. But it was low on traffic, mainly staff of the Fira passing by. Most visitors were walking on the other side of the isle. Most were looking to that side since we were the only stand against the wall. We had to talk to passer by’s in order to get them in. Standard question: Do you know the meeting support institute showing them the table tent that says Meeting Support Institute and the logo. Next question: Do you plan meetings? Since some of the hosted buyers would be incentive only or the other visitors could be hotels. For next time we will negotiate a better position. |

The plasmas We had one plasma for the MSI with the logos of all the members in a quick loop. This attracted some visitors that recognised a logo. The second plasma was for ABBIT. Due to a technical issue however, both were used for the MSI during the two first days.
The furniture Sam preferred the high table and stool concept from BTC: more open.

The brochures The brochures on two counters was a bit small so we put the tool members there sorted by Learning, Networking and Motivation.
The brochure rack The brochure rack arrived with damage. The wheel plate is broken of, one wheel is gone and some minor damage in the brochure holder. The brochure rack was from ABBIT, but we also used it for MSI members: the production companies and the Management Software. |
Left the counters, in the middle the brochure rack |
