STAGINGOPTICS CEO selected as finalist for Event Solutions Spotlight Awards

June 6, 2007 – Troy, Michigan USA – Steven P. Simmons CMP, President & CEO of STAGINGOPTICS has been selected as a finalist for The Robert Bottoms Stage Set Award, which will be presented at the 2007 Idea Factory & Expo scheduled for August 20-23, 2007 in Miami Beach, Florida.  Finalists were selected based on the following criteria: Innovation vs. Budget;  Creative Integration of Client’s Theme;  Interaction of Materials with Set Construction & Lighting;  Innovative & Custom Elements Incorporated into a Stage Set;  and Researching and Applying New Technologies.

Steven is being recognized for his role in transforming the Industry through the creation of visual, audible and experiential interpretations of his clients’ goals and objectives. Steven is an innovator of creative and technology based business theatre environments that are tailored to his clients’ individual budgets and messages. His designs are developed through his own system that distills creativity into a process. Through this process, the creative vision is transferred into a live program through a series of steps that engage the mission of the client through the vendors, venue, and all others involved.

Three of his events are showcased in the nomination including the Official Opening Ceremonies for Super Bowl XL, for which Steven was a recipient of a 2006 MPI Global Paragon Award of Excellence.
