CREATE CONTENT

HOW TO Create Content in the Meeting Support Institute knowledge base:

A) The easy way: 

send your material or link to Mireia


B) I Signing up:


- On the home page left top block, click on ‘Create new account‘
- Fill out the fields the ones with the asterisk * are required fields.
- Your first and last name will become your username (first.last) and you will publish under that user name.
- Wait for the system to verify your e-mail address and will return one e-mail with your username (first.last) + your password. to confirm your login to click on the link in that e-mail (http://www.meetingsupport.org/user)
- Fill out the username and password from the email and you are now logged in.
- If you wish you can also add a small picture.

II Creating content:

1 log in (after creating your account)
2 in the top left block on the home page Click ‘Create content ‘
3 Click ‘Knowledge Base Item’
4 Start typing:

- The Title is essential make it clear so it really reflects the content.

- To categorize your item (Vocabularies) is important:

     o choose carefully, do not select too many categories: this may irritate users when searching the site for specific content.
     o These categories are all part of the bulls eye structure (www.meetingsupport.org/bullseye) from the Manifesto ‘Meeting Architecture, a manifesto’. The search engine is used by visitors, based on that model in a faceted way.
     o Correct use of the categories will make your item appear at the right time for interested users based on faceted search.
     o Read the titles of each category group since that includes clues for correct interpretation.

- You can copy past from any document, but for the BODY TEXT: ALWAYS use the “paste as plain text” clipboard from the ‘Body text menu’
- add a photo with each content item for more reads.
- If you have articles, pictures or relevant documentation: feel free to attach them via the “File attachments” on the bottom.

III Edit your content:

You can go back to your content and change the text, categories, picture or attachments.
