Sunday August 23, 2009, the first one day course MAP™ (Meeting Architecture Process) took place at NBTA’s conference in San Diego, California. A small group of early adopters followed the course given by Maarten Vanneste and Terri Breining.  The day was an elective for both NBTA’s certifications including the new SMMC (Strategic Meeting Management Certification). Thanks to the vision of Kari Kesler, Janet Sperstad and Alana Joyce, NBTA became the first to endorse MAP™ as the standard operating procedure to manage the content side of meetings.
