Description
Maarten Vanneste, author of Meeting Architecture, a book which calls out for a radical reappraisal of the skills our industry requires, kicks off this session with a strongly argued view that meetings programmes at most universities are failing to provide the advanced education that is needed by the new generation of industry entrants, and that we in the industry are guilty of not providing stronger guidance and strategic input.  University professors and students will respond and lead the audience in a debate covering where specialist meetings education is heading, the challenges that need to overcome, and how the industry can contribute towards more relevant and innovative educational options for students who want to build a career in meetings.
